Why We Moved
People have been asking why... why move... why New Mexico... why so far from family... why. Here is a poem I'd found years ago and just now came across it again. It may explain just a bit about why we moved from Wisconsin to New Mexico. The issue wasn't family. Since we no longer had family living in Appleton going to NM where there wasn't family wasn't the basis for our decision. Nor was it my first choice of where to go. It was where God seemed to be directing us... so we came. The poem is titled:
How sweet the promise we had claimed,
That God would be the same.
It makes no diff'rence where we'll live:
The same great love, our God will give.
So serve Him faithfully each day,
And live the Bible way.
Then you'll have peace, and want to share
That you are daily in God's care.

MOVING
We left our home so dear to all
In answer to God's call.
He called us to another land;
We were beneath His caring hand.
We left our home so dear to all
In answer to God's call.
He called us to another land;
We were beneath His caring hand.
How sweet the promise we had claimed,
That God would be the same.
It makes no diff'rence where we'll live:
The same great love, our God will give.
So serve Him faithfully each day,
And live the Bible way.
Then you'll have peace, and want to share
That you are daily in God's care.

We'll have to plan on meeting again next summer in Kansas. As I type we are waiting on Uncle Waldo and Aunt Leta to join us for breakfast! They have been down at the gulf coast helping with the ongoing renovation and repair work. They will leave Monday morning for their trip home to Maryland.
