Beautiful Snow

Good morning. What a beautiful day. This is the third day of snow and it is coming down so very gently, big fat flakes piling up and hiding all the drabness. The bird feeder has a dome to keep the squirrels away and it has doubled its size with it's snow cover. And there doesn't appear to be much wind this morning as there'd been the first two days so the snow is staying where it lands. Of course, we don't have anything like what they've gotten in upper New York state so we can still enjoy this. And besides, the temps are just around freezing so it almost feels warm. There have been a few birds out but only a missy cardinal, and a downy woodpecker at our feeder, and a line of geese flew overhead.

Since I first started this (had to wait for pic before posting) several more birds have shown up but I couldn't identify them and the snow is now gone from off the seedbell.

What a beautiful picture! Our temperature today was in the 60s so I did a good bit of yard work. :o) Tonight it cooled off enough for us to enjoy a warm fire in the fireplace. This will be one of our last until late fall. Spring is just around the corner for us and then it will arrive there for you all.
