My Day

This morning we are headed into the big city... hot, hot, hot today - over 100*. Had to remember to take along a lot of water but hoped there'd be a rain shower so it would have cooled off by the time we get home (we have started our monsoons.)(No rain but by 10 pm it had cooled off!)

Now for the rest of the story. I just thought I'd let you know what an 'interesting' day we had.

The big city turned out to be as hot as I expected... I was so glad for the airconditioned stores. As we were ready to leave the last store and head home, we had trouble starting the vehicle... it didn't want to continue to run. But hubby got it started finally and we headed out, then it stalled in an intersection, but TTL we were able to coast out of the way; again he got it started and tho it stalled several times when we got up to speed it seemed to run okay. So here we are between towns and it again acts up... now only running for a few minutes at a time. We finally just pulled over in a wide spot of the road and called a tow truck. Tho he had trouble finding us, he arrived just after I had finished my last bottle of water. He brought us back to our town and took us to the repair shop. Would you believe, even tho it was way past closing, they were still open and someone was around who could help us! Praise the Lord. We now have a loaner car until they can fix ours. What a day... God was taking care of us for sure. And with the loaner car we were able to get to the grocery store to get the food for all the neighbors we had invited over for supper tomorrow. Notice the yellow license plate. Just yesterday hubby got our New Mexico plate... and today the vehicle breaks down! Good timing, eh!
